On the 24th, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Baghaei said on social media that US officials have never shown sincerity toward the Iranian people and that their comments on the memorandum of understanding are 'contradictory'. He said such remarks will not lessen Iranian public distrust and instead recall past US breaches of commitment. Baghaei urged the US to recognise the principle of 'reciprocal commitments', fulfil its obligations and refrain from interpreting the MoU in ways that contradict its text.
