At a press briefing for the 7th China Seafarer Skills Competition, organisers said registered seafarers exceeded 2.08 mln by end-2025, comprising roughly 990,000 ocean-going crew and 1.09 mln inland crew, putting China among the world's largest seafaring workforces.
