Daiwa Securities upgraded Geely Auto (00175.HK) to Buy from Hold and raised its target price to HKD27 from HKD23.7. The broker cites brand up‑marketing and overseas expansion as drivers of earnings. Daiwa lifted its 2026–28 sales forecast by 1.2%, attributing the revision to overseas expansion and strong order momentum for the Zeekr 9X. It also raised 2026–28 average selling price forecasts by 5–6% and lifted gross margin assumptions by 0.3ppt. Overall, Daiwa increased its 2026–28 revenue forecasts by 6–8% and net profit forecasts by 12–16%.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology opened a public consultation on 37 industry standards submitted for approval, including a standard for "rare-earth oxides for scintillation crystals".
