June 23: China compute-power PCB sector tumbled; sector leader Shenghong
Technology slid over 7% intraday. Shanghai Securities Journal attributed the
drop to two market rumors: NVIDIA asked PCB vendors for a 10% price cut, and
Shenghong’s capacity expansion has allegedly pressured shipments of NVIDIA’s
Rubin platform. On June 24 Shenghong said it cannot respond to every rumor but
reiterated that operations and fundamentals are normal. The company added
customer design adjustments during production are routine, it has some
first-mover advantages, and investors should rely on public disclosures.
