June 23 — Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said Starmer's resignation is a
UK domestic matter and China will not comment. He added that China and the UK,
both UN Security Council permanent members, should develop a long-term, stable
and comprehensive strategic partnership, deepen bilateral cooperation and
multilateral coordination, and work to maintain the improving momentum of
bilateral relations, which serves both countries' interests and supports global
peace, stability and prosperity.
