MOFCOM and eight other ministries issued measures to boost auto aftermarket
consumption, calling for stronger insurance support. The notice directs
implementation of prior guidance to deepen reform, strengthen supervision and

requires improving auto insurance protection and service levels, establishing a
comprehensive insurance vehicle-model grading system, expanding product supply
with ‘basic + variable’ bundled policies, and piloting a vehicle-battery
separation insurance model.
