The BoJ expects conflict-driven higher energy prices to add notable upside to inflation, lifting economists’ odds of another BoJ hike this year, possibly as early as September.

At Trump's urging the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool was altered to a blue-bottom earlier this month and soon experienced algae blooms and coating failures. Trump on June 19 posted repeated accusations of deliberate vandalism but provided no evidence. The Washington Post reported on June 21 that law enforcement arrested several people on suspicion of damaging the pool, including former U.S. Olympic canoeist and world champion David Hearn.
