June 22 — At a routine press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun
said Beijing has noted media reports that Japanese forces invading China carried
out human medical experiments in 1938. He called those live experiments and
biological warfare a lasting stain on history, warned Japan's "remilitarization"
would be a backward step and a path of no return, and urged Tokyo to sincerely
reflect on wartime crimes, fully sever ties with militarism, and take concrete
steps to regain the trust of Asian neighbors and the international community.
