Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned vessels not to approach the Strait of Hormuz, saying their safety would be at risk.

People familiar said Iran foreign minister Araghchi plans to travel to Switzerland on Saturday but the plan could change. Araghchi told several foreign ministers a Lebanon ceasefire is vital to Iran and decisive for U.S.-Iran talks; Iran wants to see a ceasefire implemented before traveling. The source said negotiations therefore may not begin before Monday, though the timetable remains tentative.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said the foreign minister will meet Pakistan's interior minister in Tehran, the Iranian Students' News Agency reported.
