Israel's ambassador to the United States said Israel will continue to remain in the southern Lebanon security zone to eliminate Hezbollah.

European Council president Costa said on the 19th he is setting up a diplomatic channel through his office to convey EU messages directly to Russia, saying the EU should not rely on third parties to interpret its communications. Iran said on June 20 its negotiating delegation has departed for Switzerland to discuss a memorandum of understanding with the United States. Pakistan’s foreign ministry said technical-level talks will take place in Switzerland on June 21, 2026, with Pakistan and Qatar serving as mediators.
