Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani arrived in Washington for talks with Vice President JD Vance as diplomacy over the Iran war intensified. Al-Thani told al-Araby al-Jadeed there is a “high probability” the US and Iran will reach a deal. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US expected Iran’s response to a draft agreement “today at some point.” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said “every time a diplomatic solution is on the table, the U.S. opts for a reckless military adventure.”
