China’s major futures contracts were mixed at the open, with the container
freight index (Europe route) rising more than 4%, soybean No.1 up over 2%, and
international copper and palladium gaining more than 1%.
On the downside, methanol fell more than 5%, while ethylene glycol, propylene,
low-sulfur fuel oil and LPG dropped over 3%. Polypropylene, PX, SC crude and PET
flakes declined nearly 3%.
