Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd. has hired Chen Jinghe, former chairman of Zijin Mining Group Co. Ltd., as an advisor to support its expanding mining business, according to people familiar with the matter. Chen is expected to help the company enhance control over mineral supply chains. CATL confirmed his advisory role but declined further comment, while Zijin did not immediately respond.
