Xiaomi has hired former Tesla senior manager Dieter Lorenz as head of delivery and logistics for Europe, as it builds infrastructure for its planned 2027 EV market entry. Lorenz, who spent over six years at Tesla in Germany overseeing regional logistics, joins alongside at least one other ex-Tesla operations employee. The company is testing SU7 and YU7 prototypes across Europe and ramping up hiring in sales and operations in key markets including Germany, France and Spain, leveraging its existing brand presence and retail network.
