TAIWAN'S WEIGHTED INDEX OPENED UP 1.72%, AT 33132.5

U.S. stocks gained on Monday, with the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq rising by 0.45%, 0.36%, and 0.54%, respectively. Oil prices also edged up as investors remained hopeful for a deescalation in Middle East tensions.
