China’s major futures contracts were mixed at the open, with ethylene glycol,
plastics and methanol rising more than 5%, polypropylene up over 4%, and benzene
and PX gaining more than 3%.
On the downside, live hogs, caustic soda, apples and glass fell more than 1%,
while rapeseed meal, alumina, soybean meal and coking coal posted modest
declines.
