China’s major futures contracts were mixed by midday, with PET flakes, fuel oil, SC crude and PTA rising more than 3%, while methanol gained nearly 3%. PVC, polyester fiber and low-sulfur fuel oil climbed over 2%. On the downside, Shanghai silver fell more than 5%, platinum dropped over 4%, tin declined more than 3% and palladium lost over 2%.
