China has halted some exports of jet fuel, diesel, kerosene and fertilisers
under guidance from the National Development and Reform Commission, aiming to
preserve domestic energy and food supplies amid Middle East disruptions.
Industry sources and analysts said shipments have been curtailed without formal
announcements. Vietnam and Australia face rising fuel costs and potential
shortages, while India and the Philippines assess alternative supplies. Hu Min
Min of S&P Global Energy said waivers are “unlikely” without resumed Strait of
Hormuz navigation, adding refiners will prioritise domestic inventories over
exports.
