China Railway Shanghai Group said Dragon Boat Festival travel remained strong: it handled 4.031 mln passengers on the holiday peak — a record single-day volume for the festival — and expects to carry 2.49 mln passengers today, scheduling 93 extra passenger trains. Since rail holiday operations began on June 18 the group has transported 7.584 mln passengers, averaging about 3.792 mln per day.
