Nov 7 — China’s National Disaster Reduction and Relief Committee office, Ministry of Emergency Management and China Meteorological Administration held a joint session to assess a rain‑and‑snow system and deploy measures for Anhui, Jiangxi, Beijing, Hebei and Liaoning. Authorities ordered tightened emergency duties, stepped‑up forecasting/warnings and targeted measures: Northeast and North China to guard against blizzard damage; southern regions to guard against localized heavy rain that could trigger mountain floods and geological hazards. Operational directives include traffic diversion and control on key road sections, inspections of agricultural greenhouses and large‑span factory roofs for snow‑load collapse risk, and guidance for near‑sea fishing vessels to take shelter; duty rosters and information reporting must be strengthened to ensure affected residents remain safe and warm.
