Fars News Agency reported Supreme Leader’s military adviser Safavi warned that if the US or Israel again attacks Iran’s national centers or interests, the conflict could expand beyond the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea, the Bab al‑Mandeb and ultimately the Indian Ocean. Safavi added renewed US military action could spark new fighting near the Red Sea and Bab al‑Mandeb. Tehran’s warning signals any future confrontation could widen substantially and risk disruption to regional security and major shipping lanes.
