New York Fed President Williams said elevated energy prices and AI-driven investment are boosting demand, meaning more work is needed to bring down U.S. inflation. He described the economy as "remarkably resilient" and the labor market as "solid", but flagged persistent inflation risks from the U.S.-Iran conflict and strong AI-related demand. He noted inflation has remained above target for five consecutive years.
