At the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, Iranian President Pezeshkian accused
the United States of crimes against Iranian civilians and said Iran must
strengthen itself to resist the US and other hostile actors. He said Iran's
nuclear development is for peaceful energy, not weapons, described Iran's
military as defensive, opposed both nuclear weapons and restrictions on peaceful
nuclear development, said the nuclear issue cannot be resolved on the
battlefield, and stated Iran will not relinquish its legitimate rights.
