Glencore has secured a $500m commitment from the US Export-Import Bank.

Jordan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said unless the international community turns broad support for a two-state solution into effective measures that can deter Israel, Israel will continue policies and actions that undermine the peace process. Safadi said Israel has openly signalled it does not care about majority international backing for a two-state outcome because its settlement expansion, land seizures and other actions have gone unpunished and have not faced credible deterrent measures. He urged broader, stronger international action to address settlement expansion, land seizures and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
