On Sept. 22 local time, Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Kosińiak-Kamysz said on social media that Polish fighter jets intercepted a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft about 40 km off the Polish coast over the Baltic Sea. He said such Russian reconnaissance flights in the Baltic are not isolated and that Polish forces will remain on alert. Russia has not responded.
