Puran Co. told investors its VCM driver business has begun mass shipments of multiple open-loop voice-coil motor (VCM) driver chips to several branded smartphone customers, materially lifting market share. Its second-generation discrete OIS chip and a new OIS for main/telephoto and periscope lenses are in high-volume production. The company also introduced its first closed-loop driver chip to meet large-stroke applications, targeting high-end use cases such as foldable screens and periscope cameras.

The report, released Sept. 21 at AICC 2026 and jointly published by IDC and Inspur, forecasts the global AI compute demand satisfaction rate will decline from 79% in 2024 to a trough of 71% in 2027. It identifies agents as a new, key driver of compute demand, creating a multiplier effect on token consumption and prompting a significant upward revision to China’s intelligent-compute growth trajectory. IDC projects active agents rising from 79.4 mln in 2026 to 2.216 bln in 2030 (CAGR 129.8%); global token consumption is projected to grow at a 4,822.6% CAGR over the same period—about 37x the active-agent growth.
