Dalian Maritime Safety Administration warned parts of the Bohai Sea will be closed to navigation for military operations from 07:00 to 19:00 on Sept. 24.

Polish President Nawrocki said a proposed permanent US military base in Poland would be named Fort Trump if it proceeds, calling the decision “only a matter of time” and expressing hope construction could finish before President Trump’s 2029 term ends. He said Trump could attend the opening. The permanent-base concept was first raised by predecessor Andrzej Duda in 2018; Polish officials have stepped up efforts to lock in a US presence since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
