On Sept 21 in Beijing, China's Ministry of Science and Technology and Ireland's Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science held the third China–Ireland joint committee on scientific cooperation. Ministers Yin Hejun and James Lawless signed a memorandum of understanding to promote science and innovation cooperation; the ministers held bilateral talks ahead of the committee.
