NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said AI has reduced engineers' time spent typing code;
they are now focused on building intelligent agents, developing benchmarks and
putting safety guardrails in place. He said his software engineers "would rather
build agents than write Python code," and that agents should handle tedious
tasks, a shift that requires imagination, creativity and substantial technical
support. Huang rejected the idea that AI merely replaces workers, saying
bringing AI into the world requires an enormous amount of work, which in turn
creates many new jobs and roles.
