At the A-share close, the Shanghai Composite rose 1.65%, the Shenzhen Composite Index gained 3.07%, ChiNext was up 4.49% and the STAR Market 50 Index jumped 8.41%. More than 2,400 stocks advanced as the semiconductor sector led gains, with memory chips, advanced packaging and lithography equipment among the top performers.

Sanya Maritime Safety Administration issued a navigation advisory on July 8 for rocket recovery operations, preliminarily locking the launch window for the Long March 10B. Wenchang observation center said on July 9 the rocket is expected to launch on July 10. The dedicated recovery vessel Navigator has sailed to the designated operating area and is standing by. The flight will attempt to validate a sea-net recovery system for a rocket first stage; if successful, China would become the second country to master heavy‑lift reusable rocket capability.
