BlackRock said on Tuesday it will launch an iShares Nasdaq-100 ETF tracking the tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 index to meet rising investor demand to participate in an AI-driven equity rally. The ETF will begin trading on Thursday. Nasdaq recently revised inclusion criteria to speed the addition of newly listed companies such as SpaceX. BlackRock's product will compete directly with Invesco's long-dominant QQQ Trust and other Nasdaq-100 ETFs; State Street launched a Nasdaq-100 ETF last month.
