Ukrainian President Zelenskiy said at the NATO summit on July 7 that air defense
is Kyiv’s top priority and urged NATO and member states to increase assistance.
He said Ukraine can handle many defense tasks independently but needs greater
partner resolve on air defenses, and that Kyiv has discussed Patriot system
production licensing with the United States. Zelenskiy said he will raise the
Patriot system and other issues with US President Trump on July 8.
