Israeli Foreign Minister Sa'ar said on the 6th that Israel insists on “fully implementing” a plan to disarm Hamas and other armed groups and to fully demilitarize the Gaza Strip. Hamas announced the same day it would hand over administrative control of Gaza; Sa'ar said Hamas is willing to “make room” for a technocratic government to avoid disarmament and warned that as long as Hamas retains weapons it can continue to launch attacks on Israel.
