The Russian Defence Ministry said early on the 6th Russian forces launched a large-scale strike using air-, land- and sea-launched long-range precision weapons and attack drones, striking military-industrial facilities and fuel-energy sites in Kyiv city and Kyiv region, and military airfield infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions. The ministry said the strikes were carried out in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilian infrastructure.

Sichuan authorities have ordered immediate, temporary full traffic control on the G545 Mian‑Mao Highway between Mianzhu and Maoxian after the Mianzhu earthquake, citing landslide and rockfall risks. The closure is effective on release and will remain until road‑hazard inspections, emergency response and road‑safety assessments are completed; reopening will be announced separately. Both directions are closed to all civilian motor vehicles, non‑motorized vehicles and pedestrians. Only credentialed emergency rescue, fire, medical, engineering clearance and official command/assurance vehicles may transit.
