The National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters activated a level-4
flood emergency for Anhui and Shandong at 08:00 on July 6, citing meteorological
forecasts for heavy rain from July 6–7. Forecast: parts of central-northern
Anhui and central-southern Shandong will receive heavy rain; northern Anhui and
southern Shandong may see torrential downpours and short-duration intense
rainfall, with peak hourly rates of 30–60 mm and local maxima above 90 mm.
