On July 3, the UK and France said in a joint statement that Oman has agreed to cooperate with them to secure navigation within its territorial waters. Both countries said they stand ready to deploy a larger multinational military operation to safeguard freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

韩国32年来首次重启钨矿开采，相关企业和当地政府正在考虑向日本供应。如果能够实现，日本一直依赖中国的钨采购渠道将得到拓展，并有望成为日韩产业合作的新支柱。 全球矿石开采巨头美国阿尔蒙蒂工业公司（Almonty Industries）的韩国法人已于3月在韩国东部的江原道宁越郡启动开采作业。这是自1994年关闭矿山以来32年来首次复产。此次重启开采作业的背后原因是需求高涨。阿尔蒙蒂于2015年收购该矿山，并投入约400亿日元推进开发。预计年产量最高达到4600吨。短时间内约一半产量将依据长期合同供应美国，其余产量将分配给韩国、日本等亚洲地区和欧洲地区。 钨是制造切削工具、汽车等广泛产品不可或缺的稀有金属。近年来，随着人工智能（AI）用半导体需求不断扩大，钨的供需关系日趋紧张。占全球钨产量约8成的中国加强了出口管制，加上中东局势紧张，最近一年里钨的交易价格上涨到了原来的4~5倍。

Sweden prime minister Kristersson met China foreign minister Wang Yi in Stockholm on July 4. Wang conveyed greetings from Chinese leaders, said bilateral ties have faced difficulties and urged stronger dialogue, rebuilt mutual trust and improved mutual understanding. Wang also held talks with Sweden’s foreign minister and met Jacob Wallenberg, chairman of the Wallenberg group.
