Hainan's Housing Provident Fund Administration issued a notice permitting
contributors to apply once per year to withdraw Housing Provident Fund balances
to pay property management fees for any one owner-occupied dwelling registered
to the household within Hainan. Excludes self-built houses and commercial
properties, including shops, office units and hotel-condo rooms. If the
household has an outstanding provincial Housing Provident Fund loan, the
applicant and spouse’s account balances after the withdrawal application must
together cover three months of loan repayments.
