Shanghai silver 2608 contract rallied intraday, gains widening to 3.94% as price rose to 15,202 yuan/kg; turnover exceeded 123.0 bln yuan. Open interest increased by nearly 2,300 contracts intraday, with volume and OI activity rising in tandem.

Russia-appointed Zaporizhzhia regional governor Yevgeny Balitsky said on social media on the 3rd that Ukrainian forces launched a drone strike on a market in the region, killing five and wounding 18. Balitsky said drone attacks were continuing, local medical resources had been mobilized to treat the wounded and casualties could rise.

A-share market closed with major indexes oscillating. Shanghai Composite rose 0.37%, Shenzhen Composite Index gained 0.64%, ChiNext Index closed up 0.07% after intraday gains of more than 2%. Turnover across Shanghai and Shenzhen exceeded 3.1 trillion yuan and more than 3,500 stocks advanced. Market rotation was fast: robotics names rallied with multiple daily limit-ups, precious metals extended yesterday’s gains and power-grid equipment strengthened in the afternoon. Semiconductor materials underperformed all day—electronic specialty gases and photoresists led declines—and fluorochemicals were the biggest drag on the broader market.
