July 1 — Youyan Silicon began construction of a large-diameter semiconductor monocrystalline silicon project in Baotou Rare Earth High‑Tech Zone, Inner Mongolia. The site will include about 50,000 sq m of single‑crystal production facilities; at full capacity it is expected to supply more than 1,000 tonnes/year of monocrystalline silicon for integrated circuits and for etching equipment, materially boosting the company’s wafer and semiconductor components output and supply security.

ECB President LAGARDE said on Wednesday that recent declines in oil prices have made risks to eurozone inflation and economic growth more balanced than a few weeks ago. At its last policy meeting the ECB had flagged downside risks to growth and upside risks to inflation.
