Sichuan Governor Shi Xiaolin met BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu in Chengdu on July 1. They discussed stepping up BYD’s investment in Sichuan under the province’s 15th Five-Year development plan, including expanding existing project production lines, scaling capacity and increasing openness. The parties agreed to promote pilot deployment of rapid-charging technologies, explore integrated new-energy storage and computing–power models, and cultivate automotive aftermarket value-added services, framing cooperation within national policy guidance and market-based logic to support high-quality regional industrial development.
