China government bond futures at the morning session close: 2-year (TS) most-active contract fell 0.03%; 5-year (TF) down 0.09%; 10-year (T) down 0.15%; 30-year (TL) down 0.28%.

Eurozone consumer inflation cooled more than expected in June as global energy prices eased amid Middle East peace efforts. Eurostat said June CPI rose 2.8% YoY, down from 3.2% in May and below a Bloomberg median of 3.0%. Core inflation, excluding food and energy, declined more than expected and services inflation eased to 3.2%. The ECB is assessing whether last month’s rate hike will be sufficient to counter inflationary pressure stemming from the US‑Iran conflict. June readings for the euro area’s three largest economies all missed forecasts; France’s inflation fell to the ECB’s 2.0% target.
