China Baowu Taigang Steel Technology Co. said it completed a single-run trial production of T1100S-grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber, with key performance metrics described as domestic-leading and internationally advanced. Carbon fiber is a strategic material for aerospace and high-end equipment manufacturing; T1100S is a top-tier, high-modulus ultra-high-strength grade with high technical barriers and has been a long-standing focus of domestic new-material R&D.

Brussels is drafting a new trade instrument, dubbed an "overcapacity tool," reportedly backed by France, Italy and Spain to enable ad hoc limits on imports from China.
