Moody's Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi wrote that the US and Israel's war on Iran has cost the average US household about $1,000. He said that includes higher fuel bills from rising oil prices, extra retail and travel spending driven by higher consumer prices, and each household's share of government war costs, and he called the $1,000 figure a conservative estimate with actual costs likely higher.
