The ±800 kV UHVDC Shaanbei-Anhui transmission project was commissioned, crossing
the Qinling–Huaihe divide and linking west-east power flows. The line increases
the Northwest China power grid's cross-region outbound transmission capacity to
103 GW (103 million kW), making it the first regional grid in China with total
cross-region outbound channel capacity above 100 million kW.
