About 14 mln barrels of Iraqi oil that had been stranded in the Persian Gulf
amid Middle East fighting were shipped through the Strait of Hormuz over the
past 10 days, aided by a fragile US‑Iran ceasefire that eased passage, Bloomberg
tanker‑tracking data show. Vessels carrying the cargo left the Gulf in late June
and are en route to buyers in Asia, Europe and the US, implying roughly 1.4 mln
bpd over the period; Bloomberg says all cargoes loaded and temporarily held in
the Gulf since late February have now departed for final destinations.
