China Customs' Guangdong branch said Guangdong Free Trade Zone imports and
exports totaled 497.01 bln yuan in January–May, up 51% YoY and adding 4.5
percentage points to Guangdong's foreign trade growth. The branch said nine
customs reform cases — including electronic tax payment for cross‑border
e‑commerce retail imports and airport smart‑logistics reforms — were selected
for the eighth batch of institutional innovation cases in the 2026 China
(Guangdong) Free Trade Zone.
