Baidu’s Kunlun AI chip unit is reportedly planning a Hong Kong IPO and counts Tencent as a customer. Earlier reports said ByteDance was considering adopting Kunlun’s AI chips; sources close to ByteDance say it currently has no intention to cooperate with Kunlun.

Shanghai released the 2026 revision of its Comprehensive Plan for Regulating Pig Production Capacity, designating breeding-sow inventory as the core indicator. It sets a normal stock level of 80,000 breeding sows and limits the number of large-scale pig farms to 90. Monthly inventory changes will be classified into green, yellow and red bands: green relies on market adjustment, yellow triggers warnings and guidance, and red prompts strengthened regulatory measures. Districts and Guangming Food Group’s out-of-region farms must keep production capacity relatively stable. The Shanghai Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission will publish production monitoring data promptly and guide farms on production pacing.
