PBOC conducted CNY157.5 bln of 7-day reverse repos today, receiving CNY157.5 bln in bids and allotting CNY157.5 bln at a 1.40% rate. It also conducted CNY300.0 bln of overnight reverse repos.

As part of South Korea's President Lee flagship industrial strategy, Samsung Group and SK Group are preparing to announce an investment programme of up to 2,000 trillion won (about $1.3tn) over the next decade. Reports say Samsung and SK Hynix would each build four to five semiconductor fabs in Gwangju. Samsung also plans a chip packaging plant in Chungcheongnam-do; SK Hynix is set to expand a NAND plant in Chungcheongbuk-do.
