President Putin said motorists and businesses are facing fuel shortages and long
queues at filling stations. He confirmed a full ban on diesel exports is among
options under consideration after several refineries halted production.
Following a Friday meeting with producers and government departments, Russia's
Energy Ministry advised against an immediate diesel export ban, citing risks of
diesel inventory build-up and other knock-on issues; the government will
reassess market conditions on Monday.
