June 26, in Xi'an Shaanxi Party Secretary Zhao Yide and Governor Zhao Gang met
with BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu. Officials urged BYD to continue supporting and
investing in Shaanxi and to deepen its presence in vehicle production, high-end
manufacturing and technology R&D to bolster the province's new-energy vehicle
(NEV) sector. BYD said it regards Shaanxi as a core strategic region after 23
years of cooperation and will strengthen practical cooperation on NEVs, power
batteries and high‑power charging infrastructure. Shaanxi pledged to maintain a
first‑class business environment and provide supportive conditions and services
for BYD’s expansion.
